Today Stuff Happened

By Mike Wilson

"The National Lacrosse League announced today that the league has reached an agreement with VERSUS to air nine games during the 2011 season. The national television package will feature regular-season and playoff games, culminating with the NLL Championship Game. The broadcast schedule will begin with the live telecast of the 2011 All-Star Game on February 27 at 2:00 PM Eastern. The full broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date. "

Wait a second....is the NLL actually making forward progress? It seems like its been so long where I have heard an announcement from the league and was exited rather then confused and a little disgusted .

The one problem with versus is one that american NHL fans are currently facing: VERSUS is seemingly on channel 17and a half. Not many serves providers carry this channel. If you have Satellite TV under anyone else but Dish Network or DirectTV, you're sh*t out of luck.

I commend the league on their timing though, it seemed to distract everybody from lapdancegate. Did I just remind everybody? Sorry NLL.

I just find it suspicious that they make this announcement without a schedule of games. It seems like it was almost released early to get our minds of lapdancegate.

Good move NLL.

P.S.

Theres going to be an All-Star Game!!!

P.P.S.
The game takes place at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on February 27 at 2 PM. The 2011 NLL All-Star game presented by the Oneida Indian Nation will be televised live nationally on VERSUS!
